Water and Dust

Today I went with Lion, Mike, Samuel and Edwin to work on the water pipes. They are getting ready to put new pipes in to bring water to the hospital. We drove to the tree line and then hiked about an hour into the forest to the water source. Mike, Samuel and Edwin worked to repair some broken pipes. When we were up there, Lion was walking on the pipes and in the water - he lost one of his crocs and we had to chase it down the river. Thankfully, some sticks stopped it. I can't believe how hard they have to work to get clean water. -Sam

 We have been going to the nearby church to help organize the library. This is a great project for me since I love to organize. The books are in no order, so it is a very time consuming project. My mom, grandma and I made some good progress today though. Everything in there is covered with red dust including us when we leave. -Annie

We prayed for service opportunities for the kids before we left and God has been faithful. When we were visiting the Okumu family at Kabarak we met Pastor Jacob who called his friend, Pastor Robert, here in Kapsowar. He has given us the library project and the kids are also going to spend some time with their school children. A few days ago, the attribute of God that we studied was His omniscience. God truly is all knowing, all-seeing and all-wise. We have seen this in many ways during this trip including His activity in and through all four of our children! - Christine
